About Us

Three Generations. One Store.

It started with grandma. Now it's family through and through.

Welcome Home.

It’s the first thing we say when you walk in. And we mean it.

The culture here is different. You’ll feel it the second you come through the door. No one rushes toward you. No one follows you around. No one’s trying to close a deal.

People are just… helpful. Relaxed. Real.

That didn’t happen by accident. A few years ago, my brother and I sat down and asked ourselves what we actually wanted this place to feel like. What we wanted our team to be about. What we wanted customers to walk away with.

We came up with four words. They shape everything we do now.

That's HOME. That's Us.

Four values that guide everything we do.

Honor

You showed up. That matters. We're going to treat you like it does.

Organic

No scripts. No games. No fake "let me talk to my manager" nonsense. Just real people having real conversations.
M

Make a Difference

People come to us during big moments—new babies, first homes, weddings. Whatever brought you here, we'll meet you where you are.

Extra mile

We'll stay late. Dig through the warehouse. If there's a way to make it work, we'll figure it out.

It Started with Grandma.

Our story started long before we ever owned the store.

One of our grandmothers worked here as a sales associate years ago—long before my parents ever imagined they might one day run the place. She showed up every day, sold furniture, loved people well, and made everyone feel welcome. That became her legacy, and in many ways, it shaped who we are today.

When my parents eventually took ownership, the whole family jumped in. Our other grandmother, cousins, aunts—everyone had a role. It was truly a family effort.

In our very first year, we had a big snowstorm. Most businesses closed, but we couldn’t. So my parents loaded up the four-wheel drive and went around picking up anyone who could make it. We opened the store anyway. It ended up being a great day—and a story we still laugh about.

From the beginning, we loved what it felt like to have family working together. Over time, we realized something: the same feeling could exist beyond just our relatives. So we made a simple decision—everyone who works at Unclaimed Furniture is part of the family.

That’s still how we operate today.

Now Kyle and I run the store with a team of more than 30 people, and that family spirit is still at the center of everything we do. We still answer our own phones. We still believe relationships matter. And we still love helping people create homes they love.
